Long Time No Sea!

Hey, long time no see, almost forgotten blog!

Some time has passed since I last posted. Lots of things happened, too. Summer, for instance.
I ABSOLUTELY (yes, caps are definitely needed here) adore summer. Lots of sunshine, warm weather, flowers and trees and grass. Summer's got everything. Not to mention a break from school. What's not to like?
I've been around a lot, but I don't want to bore you with details about that.

What I do want to bore you with is the cosplay that I eventually finished and wore for a few conventions.
Even though it was my first time, I feel I did a nice job (with lots and lots of help).
One thing that I've learned is that going to conventions wearing a cosplay is completely different to going there in regular clothes.
It's like entering a secret club, seriously.
So, here are some photos of me cosplaying.
I really don't want to come off as conceited, but I'm a little proud. I can hardly recognize myself!

Yeah, that's it. That's me. I am horrible at this whole layout thing, by the way. So please don't mind my awkward picture positioning. ..I'll work in it, promise.

See you, anyways. Maybe this time it won't take me this long to update.
Bye!
And have a great day! :3

Journeys And Exams

So, hi! How are you today?
..Me, I've been better. Lots of exams going on at the moment and, of course, I have a headache today to make it all just a little more challenging. Haha, world. Haha.
I'm still happy, though, since my friend and me will start sewing my cosplay this weekend and I'm totally excited. Almost as excited as I was a a little kid when my parents finally got me that Pikachu costume.
To be honest, though, my friend will be doing most of the actual sewing. First: Because I've never really worked with a sewing machine before.
And second: Because she's a saint. I feel a little bad about it, though. I mean, cosplayers should sew their own costumes.. right?

I'm doing all the other stuff myself, though!
I still have to order just about everything, too. But, if you couldn't tell I'm just about the most indecisive person of all time, so I haven't decided on anything yet. There are just too many choices. ..Argh.

...Now, away with the boring stuff. Let me tell you about Homestuck Journey. I'm not all that much of a gamer, but I play video games pretty regularly. Or at least I used to. During the last few months, I stopped caring so much about new screenshots and interviews ...and about release dates.
So, yeah, a week ago I pretty much stumbled upon Journey, which I had been awaiting since forever.

Journey is really different from most games. It's very short, there is no dialogue at all and you don't fight.
You're basically just this nice red-cloaked traveller, making your way to a mountain top. The absolute best thing in my opinion is that, while you're navigating through the different stages, you get teamed up with another random traveller. You can't really communicate at all, but that's part of what makes it nice.

You have to look out for your partner, help him if he's in trouble and take the same detours if he gets lost. You don't actually HAVE to, of course. You could play the game alone just the same. But, trust me, once you've found a partner, you won't want to leave them hanging.
While you're struggling to go on, even though it's just a game, even though you can't speak with your mate, you start to feel connected to them. You'll genuinely like them. Without even knowing them, yes.
It feels great to beat the game together.

It might be short with about three hours until you've played it through, but, it's oh so worth its price. Really. Seriously. Honest to god.

Anyways, I hope you didn't find me swooning over a game too boring, but Im not easily impressed when it comes to games, so you probably won't see anything like this again. At least for some time.

Have a great day, anyways. See you. :3

Of 413 And Glubbing Globes

So, hi again! Hope you're doing well, you people out there.

I know I'll probably drive everyone but the Homestuck fans away, but ..has anyone seen the new update? I was all excited for 4/13 and then - drapes and more drapes. Oh, Hussie..
I wonder if there'll be another update today, though. It's still pretty early in the US. I think.

Also, I did tell you that I was working on a cosplay, right?
So yeah, I'm doing that. Right now I'm painting miniature globes for my cosplay as god tier Jade. I'm not really too happy with them yet - none of them are finished, because it takes a while for the paint to dry, so I can't just get it over with in one or two sittings.

Anyway, here they are. Please don't judge me, I'm not much of an artist.
They're basically just styrofoam balls Ahahaha ..No.  painted with acrylic paint.
God, it was so hard getting the colours to look even remotely right..

You probably can't really tell which world is supposed to be which yet, but I'll fix that.
It's just that getting a styrofoam globe to actually look like a mini planet from Homestuck turns out to be kinda hard.

Also. Skaia. Argh. It's impossible to do it right. I just did my own take on the battlefield, but I'm not at all sure how to proceed..

So yeah, that's it from me today. If you've got any advice concerning cosplaying for me, I'll gladly take it. It's my first time and I simply refuse to make a fool out of myself. Not saying that I don't make a fool out of myself on a day-to-day basis.
See you. :3

Here I come! ..or something like that.

So, first off - hi!
Now, I'm really no good at introductions, but I'll try my best anyways.
...You know what? Scrap that. I've tried several times now and this just isn't working for me. Who cares about introductions, anyway? Not me. Certainly not me. Nonono.

Hm, where to start? First off, I'm starting this blog because I just ..kind of feel like it, I guess? I'd like to get to know people from overseas - or anywhere, read what others are up to and to keep others up to date as well. Maybe someone's interested in reading what I have to say. ..Yeah, right.

Expect to see/read things about video games, all sorts of movies, my personal life and maybe, just maybe, Homestuck related stuff. Okay, who am I kidding, there's going to be loads of Homestuck related posts, once it gets updated again.

Also, if you're into that kind of thing, I'm currently working on my first cosplay, so I might post a few pictures of the progress I'm making. Yeah, I'm a total beginner at this. I've never been one of those DIY girls, either. ..Watch me struggling with acrylic paint and freaking uncuttable wire.

As you can probably tell, I'm pretty much your usual internet person. I spend not-so-small amounts of time on Tumblr and Youtube and try to be one of the cool kids.
..I still like the outside, though. A lot. Spring's so pretty, everything's blooming and all the things are nice.

So yeah, that's it from me for now. Have a nice day. :3
