I know I'll probably drive everyone but the Homestuck fans away, but ..has anyone seen the new update? I was all excited for 4/13 and then - drapes and more drapes. Oh, Hussie..
I wonder if there'll be another update today, though. It's still pretty early in the US. I think.
Also, I did tell you that I was working on a cosplay, right?
So yeah, I'm doing that. Right now I'm painting miniature globes for my cosplay as god tier Jade. I'm not really too happy with them yet - none of them are finished, because it takes a while for the paint to dry, so I can't just get it over with in one or two sittings.
Anyway, here they are. Please don't judge me, I'm not much of an artist.
They're basically just styrofoam balls Ahahaha ..No. painted with acrylic paint.
God, it was so hard getting the colours to look even remotely right..
You probably can't really tell which world is supposed to be which yet, but I'll fix that. It's just that getting a styrofoam globe to actually look like a mini planet from Homestuck turns out to be kinda hard.
Also. Skaia. Argh. It's impossible to do it right. I just did my own take on the battlefield, but I'm not at all sure how to proceed..
So yeah, that's it from me today. If you've got any advice concerning cosplaying for me, I'll gladly take it. It's my first time and I simply refuse to make a fool out of myself. Not saying that I don't make a fool out of myself on a day-to-day basis.

Oh gosh this is so adorable! The only thing I would maybe suggest with the battle field orb is adding some patches of green ?: The rest of them look perfect! I can't wait see your finished cosplay!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I've been thinking about adding patches of green and maybe red (for lava) or blue. I think all three colours would be a little too much, though. ..That's kind of why I'm putting off finishing them. Not sure what'll look best. Dx
